have a sanctuary

Ah… solace.  We all need it.  Just as your mind tires from the incredible information processing it does all day long, so does your soul become weary from the sorrows of life it observes each day.  Never do you need to engage in a daily restorative practice more than during a time of healing, when the pain you carry is at its most sensitive.

A sanctuary is a place of peace.  It is your peace space.  It’s yours and yours alone.

In your sanctuary everything is gentleness – the sounds, the light, the smells, the temperature, the images that greet your eyes.

This is where you go to calm your mind and refresh your spirit.  Your soul finds rest in solitude here.  It is nurtured by the comfort that surrounds you.

Wherever your sanctuary is – your kitchen table between 3 and 3:30 every afternoon – a mountain trail – your workshop – a log on the ocean shore – find it, and if you cannot find it, create it.

Visit often.  Daily visits highly recommended.
