Healing is work. It takes effort. It takes energy! There are going to be times when you make great strides. There will be others when you get little farther than nowhere. There will be others still when you just sit at nowhere and don’t move.
When your strides slow to a crawl, you could opt to get down on yourself about that. Instead of motivating you though, that might weigh you down even more. Your slow pace might grind to a halt. Then you end up feeling even worse.
Appreciate the fact that you cannot do more than what you have energy for. You can’t sprint when you barely have energy to stand.
Since you receive signals about your energy level via your physical body, in order to cultivate energy awareness, you also have to cultivate body awareness. You have to work at being tuned in to your body.
When you’re not making the progress you want, instead of getting down on yourself, assess your energy supply!
